Description: This beginner’s course uses Macromedia Dreamweaver as a tool for creating the look and feel of Web sites. With an in-depth look at graphic and visual design concepts, students will create a professional quality, fully functional Web site. The portfolio-worthy project will be catered to a specific audience and will feature both technical skill and visual design ability. This course may be taken three times if the software version has changed.
GCOM 330 or GCOM 340 or GCOM 360 or CISW 350 with a grade of “C” or better or equivalent.
Knowledge of an image editing program is REQUIRED. You MUST know how to resize and export graphics for the Web. You are responsible for getting appropriate graphics for your site and will be graded on the appropriateness of your graphics. It is impossible to pass this class without meeting the prerequisite. In special circumstances, taking GCOM 360 (Graphics for the Web) concurrently will satisfy the prerequisite. I am happy to discuss your individual situation if you need advisement.
